Area of Opportunity
Junior Chamber can be called an organization of opportunities. The opportunities available within Junior Chamber are so numerous it could take a lifetime to grasp them all. Most members select those which cater to their particular needs and make the most of them.
Basically, there are four Areas of Opportunities within the organization: Individual, Community, International and Business. Projects are conducted in each Area. As the members work on these projects, they encounter opportunities for total development.
Individual - through various leadership training programs, members develop invaluable skills such as goal-setting, time management, public speaking, parliamentary procedure, protocols etc. thereby equipping them with necessary techniques to become future leaders of our community.
Community - through various community development programs, members identify social needs and issues, develop projects to improve the well-being of the community and thereby enhance awareness and sensitivity on community problems.
Internationalism - in our world, we realize the need for international collaboration, tolerance and peace. As JCI is a worldwide federation of more than 6,000 chapters which spans in 120+ nations and territories, we offer members numerous opportunities to understand and be involved in global issues. Through conferences, academies, programs, twinning (sister-chapter relationships), and business exchange, we enable to promote goodwill and attain a deeper understanding of the global challenges of tomorrow.
Business - members can pursue business interest through the Business Network at different levels in the organization meeting members from different industries and professional background.
